Anthropological, ethical and social aspects of the digital world
ComplexEthics is a three-year, BMBF-funded research project, undertaken jointly with partners in Nürnberg, Karlsruhe and Potsdam. It analyses current and emerging challenges of the digitalised world from the perspectives of ethics, anthropology, sociology and information technology.
The digitalised world is becoming increasingly complex. Such complexity is to be understood both in terms of the technical improvements and of the ethical, anthropological and social challenges it generates. ComplexEthics provides an analysis of the anthropological and ethical implications of living in an increasingly digitalised world. In a joint effort with computer scientists and sociologists, it also aspires to develop practical guidelines for developers and programmers of digital products.
